| Lisa Trudel has been a certified Survivability Leader
since 1999. Currently working full-time with the Office Workers
Career Centre in Toronto, she conducts monthly Survivability workshops
to office workers who have been recently laid off and who are receiving
Employment Insurance benefits.
Lisa has been active in the career and employment counselling field
for over 12 years, and began her career at George Brown College.
Certified in the MBTI, and a Level 2 True Colors Trainer, Lisa has
designed and facilitated workshops and training programs in a variety
of topics including Customer Service, Adapting to Change, and Appreciating
Differences.
As a speaker and writer, Lisa strives to promote information with
inspiration, and incorporates the 10 skills of Survivability into
her own life. She has written feature articles for Contact Point
Bulletin, book reviews for CCIA (Canadian Career Information Association),
and articles for George Brown College's staff and student newspapers.
Currently completing her Bachelor of Adult Education through Brock
University on a part-time basis, Lisa also conducts Monday evening
Career Planning and True Colors workshops at George Brown College.
In August 2002, Lisa was a guest speaker at the IAAP (International
Association of Administrative Professionals) Executive Assistants'
Forum, where she spoke on "The Continuing Impact of E-Business on
Office Support Workers". Dedicated to motivating office workers
into positive career development action, Lisa uses the philosophy
of Survivability in all her group presentations and as noted by
Janis Foord Kirk believes "you can learn to manage your life and
your work despite uncertainty and change, and enhance your Survivability."
