Pre-requisites to become a Certified Survivability
Leader:
- Previous group work or facilitation experience;
- Experience and knowledge of career/employment services;
- Experience working to help people build their career self-management
abilities.
- Familiarity with the Survivability concepts either through reading
Janis Foord Kirk's book on Survivability, or visiting the
Survivability website.
There are several steps in the certification process:
- Attend a 3-day Leadership Training Program;
- Offer a one-day Survivability® workshop to 12 - 15 clients in
your agency/community or organization within in three months of the
training program;
- Send workshop evaluations to the Survivability Central Registry within
two weeks of delivering The Survivability Workshop;
- Favourable evaluations from those who attended complete the Certification
process;
Register your information on our website and with our Central Registry.
